As you know, the City of Toronto is committed to improving alternate forms of transportation, such as transit and bike lanes across the city in an effort to stem the effects of climate change. Bike route expansion is clearly beneficial to our environment and I am committed to improving the bike path system in our Ward for residents of Trinity-Spadina and for all Torontonians. With input from cyclists and myself, the west end path has been enhanced and the additions will make cycling through the neighbourhood, north-south and east-west, safer and more efficient. Additions include contra-flow and regular bike lanes on:
- Bellwoods Avenue (from the alley north of Queen Street West to Robinson Street),
- Shaw Street (from Harbord Street to Dundas Street West)
- Argyle Street (from Shaw Street to Givins Avenue, and from Ossington Avenue to Dovercourt Road)
