Toronto's 175th Anniversary of Incorporation

2009 marks the 175th Anniversary of the Incorporation of the City of Toronto.  I am pleased to be chairing the Steering Committee that is organizing the celebratory events beginning on March 6, 2009. Celebration plans include a contest for an official Toronto song and, as a whole, provide opportunities to enhance existing City initiatives, such as Lit City, Doors Open Toronto, and a Toronto Archives book with photos and documents dating back to 1834. Museums and historical centres across Toronto are taking part in this celebration of our city's history and culture.
